San Pedro Pirates lose 3-1 against Verdes F.C but remain in third position

With only two more games left in the 2018-2019 regular season of the Premiere League of Belize (PLB) San Pedro Pirates remain in the third position of the football tournament with a total 16 points. The island team was defeated 3-1 by Verdes F.C at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio this past weekend on Sunday, November 4th.

The current standings of the PLB have Belmopan Bandits and Verdes F.C at the top of the chart with 30 points each, followed by San Pedro Pirates with 16 points and Altitude Assassins with 15 points. Following the top three is Police United F.C with 14 point, Wagiya F.C with 12 points and Freedom Fighters F.C with 10 points. At the bottom of the chart is Belize Defense Force with seven points. For their next match the San Pedro Pirates will be travelling to Belmopan City to face Belmopan Bandits F.C on Sunday, November 10th. Belmopan Bandits fall 1-0 to San Pedro Pirates

In the 13th week of the 2018-2019 regular Season of the Premiere League of Belize (PLB), the San Pedro Pirates claimed victory over current champions Belmopan Bandits on Saturday, November 10th. With their 1-0 score victory, puts the Pirates are now in second place the tournament standings, with 19 points total.

The current standings of the PLB have Belmopan Bandits and Verdes F.C at the top with 30 points each, followed by San Pedro Pirates with 19 points and Altitude Assassins with 18 points. Following the top four teams is Police United F.C with 14 points, Freedom Fighters with 13 points and Wagiya F.C with 12 points. At the bottom of the chart is BDF with 10 points. For their last match of the regular season of the PLB, the San Pedro Pirates will be playing a home match against Wagiya F.C on Saturday, November 24th. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30PM at the Ambergris Stadium. All islanders are invited to come out and support the island team.

San Pedro Pirates win 2-1 against Wagiya F.C, advancing to the PLB Semifinals

The San Pedro Pirates F.C ended the 2018 regular season of the Premiere League of Belize (PLB) with a bang! The island team managed a 2-1 win in their last match of the regular season against Dangriga Wagiya F.C at the Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro Town on Saturday, November 24th. With this victory, the Pirates gained three additional points in the PLB standings, taking the third place position overall, and advancing to the semifinals.

Head Coach of the San Pedro Pirates F.C Renan Couoh, is happy with their great accomplishment and the team is looking forward to making it all the way to the end of this season. "We are going into the semifinals with confidence. We are already practicing and preparing ourselves to give our best in the semifinals, and hopefully make it to the finals," said Couoh. All islanders are invited to come out and support the home team in their first round of semifinals at the Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, December 1st, when they face Verdes F.C. The game is scheduled to start at 7PM. Food and drinks will be on sale during the match.

PLB semifinals begin: San Pedro Pirates lose 4-1 against Verdes F.C

The San Pedro Pirates hosted Verdes F.C at the Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro Town for the first round of the Premiere League of Belize (PLB) semifinals 2018 on Saturday, December 8th. The island team fought hard to win their first semifinal match against Verdes F.C but fell short to the visitors 4-1.

For the San Pedro Pirates to advance to the finals, they will have to shut-out the Verdes F.C at least 4-0. For the second round of the semifinals, the San Pedro Pirates F.C will be traveling to San Ignacio Town to face Verdes F.C on Wednesday, December 12th. Semi Finals Game Two! Verdes FC vs San Pedro Pirates FC, Pirates win 2-1

After a convincing 4-1 semifinal game-1 win against San Pedro Pirates FC at the Ambergris Stadium on Saturday night, Verdes had barely survived a San Pedro offensive in the return match on Verdes' home turf in a mid-week clash on Wednesday night, when San Pedro jumped to a 2-nil lead with Verdes a man short from an ejection. But the Green Machine got a header from captain, Elroy Smith off a free kick by Darwin Bermudez, and they held the score at 2-1, eventually advancing to the finals with the 5-3 aggregate advantage.

PLB Closing Season Begins: San Pedro Pirates F.C lose 1-0 against Verdes F.C

The Premiere League of Belize (PLB) Closing Season 2018-2019 began this weekend with four matches taking place across the country. For the San Pedro Pirates F.C, their first match was against Verdes F.C at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town, Cayo District on Sunday, January 13th. The island team fought hard to start this new season on the right foot but fell short against Verdes F.C, in a match that ended with a 1-0 score point.

For their next match, the San Pedro Pirates will be playing at home against Freedom Fighters on Saturday, January 19th. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30PM at the Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro Town. All Islanders are invited to come out and support the island team.

San Pedro Pirates in the 1st place position on PLB charts after 2-1 win against Belmopan Bandits

The San Pedro Pirates F.C made history this weekend at the Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro Town, after defeating the Belmopan Bandits and claiming the first place position in the Premiere League of Belize 2019 Closing Season chart standings. The island team fought hard for their victory and managed to defeat the Belmopan Bandits with a 2-1 point score.

This is the first time San Pedro Pirates F.C makes it to the first place position in the PLB charts. San Pedro Pirates Manager Tony Maldonado told The San Pedro Sun that they are happy with how much they have accomplished this season, and they look forward to continue giving their best. For their next match, the San Pedro Pirates F.C will be playing another home game against Verdes F.C on Sunday, March 3rd. The game is scheduled to begin at 3PM at the Ambergris Stadium. ALL islanders are invited to come out and support the island team in their home game.

Pirates draw 1-1 against Freedom Fighters, slip to #2 in PLB

For the ninth week of the Premiere League of Belize (PLB) the San Pedro Pirates traveled to Punta Gorda Town, Toledo District to go up against Freedom Fighters on Sunday, March 10th. The island team fought hard to take the victory and retain the PLB's first place position, but at the end of the game time, it was a 1-1 draw.

The PLB current standings have Verdes F.C at the top of the chart with 18 points, followed by San Pedro Pirates F.C with 17 points and Belmopan Bandits with 15 points. Following the top three teams are Police United F.C with 12 points and Assassins Altitude with 11 points. While BDF and Freedom Fighters have nine points each. At the bottom of the chart is Wagiya Sporting Club with eight points.

For their next match, the San Pedro Pirates will be traveling to Belmopan City to go up against Police United F.C on Sunday, March 17th. The match is scheduled to begin at 4PM at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium. Anyone interested in accompanying the Pirates as a fan can contact 608-6396.
