An upper level trough passes through the Atlantic Ocean, through the Windward Passage, into the SW corner of the Caribbean Sea near the coasts of Costa Rica and Panama. Isolated moderate to locally strong rainshowers are from 16N southward from 79W westward. Rainshowers are possible from 16N northward from 79W westward.

An eastern Caribbean Sea tropical wave, along 67W, will move westward, across the central Caribbean Sea from Thursday into Friday. The wave will pass to the west of the area through late Saturday into Sunday. Strong gusts are possible near rainshowers, that are associated with this tropical wave near the Lesser Antilles and eastern Caribbean Sea through this evening. High pressure building from the central Atlantic Ocean into the central Bahamas will support moderate to fresh trade winds and building seas across the entire basin from late on Wednesday through Friday.

From Belmopan...

Our weather getting back to more normal, the easterly Caribbean winds are back, with some large chunky areas, and some clashing with a little high level winds from the north, there is some seriously heavy ITCZ rain activity down over Costa Rica and Panama, and a few smaller patches over Honduras. The south of Belize typically gets more rain than central or the north, because it is nearer to that typical ITCZ activity and the fact it is tucked in the corner of sea coast line with Honduras, where the mountains also have an influence on the weather down in Toledo.

Looks like we will be having a fair bit of cloud this morning, the over night rain areas have reduced, there could be the odd rain shower anywhere later today.

Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 75°F Yesterday max. 33°C 92°F

Significant rain showers continue from time to time in any part of Belize, but more so in central and southern areas, as swellups develop more and more.
