From Belmopan...

There is still this lingering line of rain, right across central belize, with rain along the line, some below the line, and none above the line, which appears to be the boundary between the warm air from the south and the remaining cool air from the north. Chunky Caribbean cloud patches coming in from the ENE, high level cloud over central and south Belize from the WSW causing rain in the south.

Looks as if there will still be rain in central and some in the south this morning, none up north, presently fog in many parts, should clear to give sunshine in the north, but continuing patches of rain in the central and south.

Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 23°C 73°F Yesterday max. 28°C 83°F Yesterday Rain 51mm ( 2" )

On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a calm sea around our barrier reef and a breeze from the Northeast. The expected high temperature is in the low 80's.

The Cloud and Rain picture. There is still some cool air pushing down from the north, appears to be effecting or causing a line between warmer air from the south, most rain along that line, yellow dashes.

As some of you may have noticed by now, there wass a very heavy line of rain, with thunder and lightning in it. Moving inland from the SE. This appears to be the front line of the warmer wetter air from the south, battling with the cool north air.

This afternoons Cloud and Rain picture. The warm / cool air clash is now up in the Orange Walk district. The rain we had, 25mm 1" in just 45 minutes, was aggravated by the clash extending up into the high level cloud from the SW, causing thunder and lightning, and still is in the Belize district and eastern Cayo. Dryer air behind it. But rain developing in Orange Walk and into Corozal.
