Opening the ceremony was Mayor Daniel Guerrero where he welcomed everyone to the event and was grateful for everyone's presence. At the end of his speech, he shouted, "Let there be light!" and the Christmas tree was lit in all its glory. Sharing some Christmas cheer as well was the Hon. He remembered the late Sir Barry Bowen, whom was always cheerful for the holidays island style. After the speeches, the performances began! All schools were invited to show case their talents, whether it was singing, dancing or reciting a poem...these kids sure knew hot to do it! Before introducing the next act, Deputy Mayor Ruben Gonzalez shared a few remarks to close the ceremony, where he thanked everyone for assisting and the schools for participating.
