After a day and night of hard rain on Ambergris Caye, this morning the North wind is shifting to the Northeast and the sky is clearing. The sea around our barrier reef is rough. Today's expected high temperature is in the low 80's.

From Belmopan...

The main heavy clouds have now moved down south causing rain out at sea and in inland Toledo district. Much of the cloud covering central and north Belize is thinner, not causing rain and allowing some sunshine to get through.

Looks like south Belize will be having heavy clouds and periods of rain for much of the day, but little or no rain in central and north Belize, but with clouds and periods of sunshine, more so as the day warms up.

Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 19°C 67°F Yesterday max. 23°C 73°F Yesterday Rain 7.2 mm ( 0.28" )

The Cloud and rain picture. Now, as the clouds thin and sun starts to come through, the rain dies out, we can see there is some warm air pushing up from the south. It was that conflict that has been causing the rain.

Tomorrows WEATHER for - Thu 17 Jan 2019

Most of the cloud causing rain has now been pushed south and we are having clearer skies over night, so a cool night, with probably no rain.

So looks as it tomorrow will be generally dry, much less cloud around and a fair bit of sunshine.
