The Caribbean Sea

A stationary front extends from the west tip of Cuba to the Yucatan Peninsula. Scattered showers are present within 60 nm of the front. A moderate pressure gradient induced by a 1031 mb high centered east of Bermuda is helping to promote fresh tradewinds across the basin. Slightly stronger winds are expected over the south-central Caribbean, mainly within 90 nm of the coast of Colombia.

High pressure north of the area will maintain fresh to strong NE winds over much of the Caribbean tonight. The front will weaken today. NW swell moving into Atlc waters off the Leeward Islands will subside today.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the Northerner is still with us making a calm sea around our barrier reef. The expected high temperature for the day is in the upper 70's.

From Belmopan...

The first day that sunrise has started to get earlier. Cloud every where as the easterly Caribbean winds push back in, but t the same time, the cool air has not been pushed away , on top of that the high level clouds are crossing over the whole Yucatan from the west. There is a little rain out at sea, where the Caribbean winds are clashing against the cooler air, but not much and it appears to be drying up before it gets to land.

Looks like today will be mainly cloudy, but increasing sunshine or brighter conditions as the day warm up, probably little or no rain.

Temperatures in Belmopan :
( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 23°C 73°F Yesterday max. 30°C 85°F Yesterday Rain 0.0 mm ( 0.00" )

Tomorrows WEATHER for - Sat 26 Jan 2019

There are all sorts of changes happening presently.
A lot of cloud in Mexico, not knowing which way it should be moving in, the Caribbean easterly trying to come back in,but not making much headway and high level streaming over from the SW siring up things.
Causing significant patches of rain, scattered in several places.

Looks as if various forms and directions of Cloud are going to be around for the next couple of days, and with patches of rain.
