High level winds from the SW are right now clashing with the air movement coming down from the north, causing several large and very large swellups over the Yucatan, and smaller ones getting close to NW corner of Belize.
We are right on the edge of some extremely heavy rain, right down from Can-cun, right down to Benque.
At present there is no indication that it will move any further into Belize, but hopefully it will cool the air down a bit and get rid of some of that smoke that is making it so hot and humid.
Looks like Benque might have got some rain, but not in Cayo town, or any further into Belize.
The wind we are getting in Belmopan from the north, indicates there is rain around, but I suspect it is simply due to the very heavy rain to the NNW in Guatamala and south Mexico.
But hopefully it will clear away some of the smoke in the area and cool the air a bit for tomorrow.
Today at 101°F 38°C is the hottest we have had since one day in 2015 and another in 2011
The rain line is changing direction slightly, looks as if Benque is now getting good heavy rain and a very good chance that Cayo town will be getting rain shortly.
