On Ambergris this morning it's sunny and the expected high temperature today is 89 f. t The sea around our barrier reef is rough. We have have surge eroding the shore from waves crossing over the top of the barrier.

I have been watching how high level winds with clouds are coming across the equator from Africa, over north of South America and produce large areas of cloud over the north of South America, then this appears to trigger clouds usually in the Pacific. But over the last few days, there is a line of high level clouds developing all along the pacific coast of Central America and Mexico. But this morning that line of developing high clouds is significantly from Central America up over much of eastern Mexico up into the mid USA states, this cloud is all moving eastwards. Right now, there are various patches, some thick, but most thin, coming over northern Belize, where it is causing the SE Caribbean winds to produce a fair amount of cloud. No rain at present, but I feel this could change quickly. Looks like today will be another warm, muggy sunny days, but with significant clouds, mainly in the north of Belize this morning, but developing in the south later, which could trigger some swellups and rain. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 25°C 77°F Yesterday max. 33°C 92°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0.0" )

As I mentioned this morning, it looks like today will be another warm, muggy sunny days, but with significant clouds, mainly in the north of Belize this morning, but developing in the south later, which could trigger some swellups and rain. Here are the swellups, covering most of central and southern Belize, causing a lot of rain, some heavy, along the NW side of the mountains. . . It is just developing where it is, not actually moving in any direction.

Tomorrows WEATHER for - Mon 06 May 2019So many swellups in our area this afternoon. Looks like that line of high level clouds I mentioned this morning are causing swellups all over our area. The easterly Caribbean wind has been pushing the rain developing areas to the west, away from Belize. Not clear what might happen tomorrow, possibly more swellups tomorrow afternoon. Whether that brings rain to Belize or not is not clear. As these present swellups clear tonight, there is already another line of similar swellups developing all over again from Honduras, Guatamala, Mexico, right up into the USA Today has been a hot muggy and cloudy day, yet one of the hottest so far, but there is again a lot of fire smoke in the sky, which makes it much worse. Tomorrow, Monday could be fairly similar to today.
