The Caribbean Sea

15-25 kt tradewinds are over the Caribbean Sea with strongest winds along the coast of N Colombia. Isolated moderate convection remains inland over Guatemala, and W Honduras. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection is over NW Colombia, and W Venezuela. Scattered showers are over the Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, E Cuba, and Jamaica. In the upper levels, a ridge is over the Caribbean with upper level moisture.

Fresh easterly trade winds will prevail in the south-central Caribbean and the Gulf of Honduras through Sunday. Smoke from ongoing agricultural fires in Central America will produce hazy skies and reduced visibilities north of Honduras.

OP Marty	[ ICJ vote day ] The SE Caribbean clouds already building into larger clumps. The rain radar still stuck on yesterday. High level thin cloud over much of the area. No sign of rain, but I feel that there could be some clashing this afternoon. You can see the ITCZ swellups are no getting very common down near Panama these days. Looks like this morning will be sunny, but with a lot of cloud around, this afternoon ? could result in some showers, or even a swellup at some time. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 25°C 77°F Yesterday max. 32°C 90°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0" )
