pet owners: all it took was a phone call to my vet. they asked for some info too, so i faxed them SAGA's webpage. they called back in an hour to say a box is ready. i got heartworm meds, flea/tick shampoo, & cat food samples.
they expect a shipment of sample dogfood in tomorrow. it is a seperate box. i do NOT want to shlep this around (nor will hubby).
does anyone know: can i have it sent directly to san pedro on my arrival? i do not head there for 4 days.
if i address it to the SAGA society or dr. bron, would maya or tropic send it on?
i would be willing to do that, but not drag it around cayo.

Jane- Its better to pack it, and take it thru yourself. that way you will know it got to where it needs to go... Rick

Well there are two choices.
You could ask Margie of Margies Travel if she would allow the stuff to sit in her office till you pick it back up. Her office is directly across the parking lot. (She would probably say okay but you might get a better reception if you purchased your ticket to San Pedro thru her)
The other choice is to walk across the parking lot and ask John and Judy Collier at the Embassy Hotel if they will hold the stuff for you till you get back from SI. Explain that it is a donation for the island and they will in all probablity say fine and not expect any type of payment.
Hope this helps.

Jane, I would try going to the counter of Maya or Tropic show your ticket to AC for four days later, and ask if they could go ahead and take the box to AC, and hold for your arrival in 4 days. They could give you a baggage claim stub......might work.

good idea chloe. i may try that.
if not frank (who hates people but loves animals) said it is ok to drag it around cayo. it can sit in the trunk of the 4x4. then brom can have a case of dogfood too.
for those going soon, my vet was happy to help. all it took was a phone call, and a fax.

Hi SeeetJane, Our vet is putting something together too. Maybe we'll see you in Cayo. Where are you staying? What about on AC?
