The Premier League of Belize (PLB) has released the schedule of games for its up-coming 2019-2020 Opening Season which will again feature 8 teams; but there are a few changes. Returning to action will be Placencia Assassins FC, who sat out last season, lending their support to the new entry, Assassins Altitude FC; while Police United FC will not be appearing at all in this edition of the PLB tournament. Also, the Punta Gorda franchise, Freedom Fighters FC, has been loaned to the Valley Pride team of Dangriga, who will play out of Dangriga as the FF Valley Pride FC in this PLB season; so, there will be two PLB teams using the Carl Ramos Stadium as their home field this season. And then, whereas last season the Altitude name entered the picture as the Assassins Altitude FC, while the Placencia management took a sabbatical; Placencia Assassins FC has now returned to action this season, and the Altitude management will now control their own franchise as Altitude FC.

Here are the 8 PLB teams this season and their respective home venues: defending champion, San Pedro Pirates FC - Ambergris Stadium; sub-champion, Bandits Sport - Isidoro Beaton Stadium; Verdes FC - Norman Broaster Stadium; BDF FC - MCC Grounds; Altitude FC - Michael Ashcroft (M.A.) Stadium; Wagiya FC - Carl Ramos Stadium; Placencia Assassins FC - Placencia Football Field; FF Valley Pride FC - Carl Ramos Stadium.
Mayor's Cup Final over PLB opener

The Week 1 schedule released by the PLB had FF Valley Pride FC hosting Wagiya FC at the Carl Ramos Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.; but a PLB release today stated that this season opener will now be played on Saturday afternoon instead, "due to stadium unavailability." The Dangriga Mayor's Cup final was to be held this past Sunday, but was postponed to this coming Sunday at the Carl Ramos Stadium, forcing a change to Saturday for the PLB opener.

Upcoming PLB Week 1 schedule:
Saturday, July 27
4:00 p.m. - FF Valley Pride FC vs Wagiya FC - Carl Ramos Stadium
7:30 p.m. - San Pedro Pirates FC vs Bandits Sport - Ambergris Stadium
Sunday, July 28
4:00 p.m. - Placencia Assassins FC vs Altitude FC - Placencia Football Field
4:00 p.m. - Verdes FC vs BDF FC - Norman Broaster Stadium
