Police Commissioner Chester Williams also briefly spoke on the investigation of the double murder of prominent American Doctor Gary Swank and San Pedro tour guide Mario Graniel. Both men were fatally shot on Sunday, June twenty-third while out in the lagoon in Graniel’s skiff. Investigators believe that the gunman was after Graniel, and Dr. Swank was collateral damage. The investigation revealed that Graniel had a misunderstanding with one of the island’s most notorious gang figures. No one has been charged for the shocking double murder which prompted cabinet to take security measures on the island. Today, Williams told the press that there is a development in the case.
