I have stayed there 3 times, each time better than the next. Ocean view room is the way to go in my opinion. Staff is the best.

BB is wonderful. The beach, the pool, the rooms. I had an ocean front room last month. If the construction is still going on, I never heard it. It will be even better once the restaurant/bar is complete.

A group of us stayed there in April. We loved it and are going back and staying there again next year in early May. My room was right next to the new wing they were building and it didnt bother me in the least. THey were getting pretty far along in building, so they may be real close to being finished anyway as the outside was completed and painted when I was there in April. The staff was great, the rooms were great, the view was great... nuff said!

I've stayed at Banana Beach a couple of times, most recently earlier this week. Still a very nice place, and with the new addition getting bigger and better.

The new addition of 31 rooms and suites is in its final stages. It's not open yet but should be within a week or two. Tim Jeffers and his people are bringing in the furniture and beds right now. The new, second pool is open. The restaurant probably won't open for several months. There's still some paving and landscaping to do at the entrance, but otherwise the main construction work is over.

The new addition has a variety of units, from regular hotel rooms to four-bedroom suites (the set-up allows the seafront units to be rented as either one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom units.)

Also, happily, Tim is upgrading the air conditioning in the original section, replacing the old units with new, quieter units.

Management is still friendly and helpful.
