I've stayed at Banana Beach a couple of times, most recently earlier this week. Still a very nice place, and with the new addition getting bigger and better.
The new addition of 31 rooms and suites is in its final stages. It's not open yet but should be within a week or two. Tim Jeffers and his people are bringing in the furniture and beds right now. The new, second pool is open. The restaurant probably won't open for several months. There's still some paving and landscaping to do at the entrance, but otherwise the main construction work is over.
The new addition has a variety of units, from regular hotel rooms to four-bedroom suites (the set-up allows the seafront units to be rented as either one-, two-, three- or four-bedroom units.)
Also, happily, Tim is upgrading the air conditioning in the original section, replacing the old units with new, quieter units.
Management is still friendly and helpful.
