General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Cloudy. Relatively moist and unstable conditions prevail. Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Cloudy at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the coast and south this morning then over northern and inland areas this afternoon. Cloudy spells tonight with isolated showers except for a few more over the south.

The Caribbean Sea

Isolated moderate rainshowers are in the area that is to the NW of the line that runs from the Windward Passage to eastern Honduras. This precipitation is in an overall area of more than one smaller areas of cyclonic wind flow. Part of the precipitation that is in the NW corner is related to the NE Gulf of Mexico upper level cyclonic circulation center. Another part of the precipitation is related to the surface trough that is reaching SE Cuba.

The monsoon trough is along 09N/10N, between Lake Maracaibo in NW Venezuela, across northern Colombia, through Panama, and beyond southern Costa Rica, into the eastern Pacific Ocean. Scattered to numerous strong rainshowers are in northern Colombia, about 100 nm to the north of Panama between Colombia and 79W, and 180 nm to the south of Panama from 80W eastward, and within 60 nm of the Panama from 80W westward.

High pressure N of the region will maintain moderate trade winds, that will pulse to fresh to strong, at times, in the S central Caribbean Sea. A tropical wave will cross from the central Caribbean Sea into the western Caribbean Sea on Friday. A strong tropical wave will approach the tropical N Atlantic Ocean and the eastern Caribbean Sea, during the time from the weekend into early next week. This feature also will bring widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms, gusty winds and building seas.

Marty OP	While there is growing concern over Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine near the Bahamas, there is a second tropical wave in the open Atlantic that forecasters are scrutinizing. This is the same feature that emerged from the west coast of Africa earlier this week. As of early Friday morning, there were no signs of organization with this Cabo Verde system, but there is plenty of time for that to occur and AccuWeather meteorologists believe that conditions are generally conducive for development in the coming days. "We expect this disturbance to become better organized early next week as it approaches the Lesser Antilles," according to AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski. Should the system ramp up quickly it may be more likely to turn north of the islands in the northern Caribbean and then into the central Atlantic. Should the system be slow to organize into early next week, it may have a greater chance of turning northward over the northern islands of the Caribbean with a potential threat for the Bahamas or the United States coast later in the month. Marty OP	The easterly Caribbean winds have all sorts of patches of cloud, so there are some showers in many parts. The high level is from the west, causing a few clashes, but not significantly at present. There is a new low developing again on the Bahamas and may develop into a storm as it get to Florida. But the biggest and most active area is just off Panama, it has no apparent rotation, so might not develop, but if it does, it is just around the corner from us, so we must watch. Looks like today will be mainly cloudy most of the day, with isolated rain showers anywhere. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 75°F Yesterday max. 33°C 91°F Yesterday Rain 4.6 mm (0.18" )
