Present location of INVEST 97L is about 1400 miles east-southeast of the Lesser Antilles. Movement: slowly west-northwestward to northwestward. Residents in the northern Leeward Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this disturbance as the forecast models are back and forth on its forecast track.

Meanwhile, scattered showers and thunderstorms associated with a fast westward-moving tropical wave are presently affecting parts of the Lesser Antilles. Convection has diminished within the past few hours and a lesser impact is anticipated for the islands. We will continue to monitor its progress and update you if conditions become severe.

Significant areas of showers and thunderstorms moving through the Lesser Antilles.

Heavy convection is presently noted over and or approaching parts of Guadeloupe, Dominica and St Lucia,,,Hewanorra International Airport. Vieux-Fort, Saint Lucia last reported 25 mph winds at 6:00 AM...Grantley Adams International Airport, Bridgetown, Barbados also reported winds of 20 mph at 6:00 AM. Some convection is also note over and or around St Vincent, The Grenadines and Grenada.

The ESE Caribbean air has quite a few lines of cloud in it, causing isolated rain showers in any part of Belize this morning, more so in the south. Just a trace of high level from the NNW over the south.

Looks like today will be mainly sunny, with clouds building and the occasional rain showers in any place.
