Tropical Storm Narda is approaching Central America from the Pacific, causing some of the unsettled weather in Belize. The forecast is for Tropical Storm Narda to strengthen, eventually into a tropical storm through the day Saturday. Once the system strengthens enough (winds >39 mph), it will be named Tropical Storm Narda. Narda will move to the north-northwest, skirting the Mexican coastline, and eventually moving toward Baja California, maintaining its strength as a tropical storm. The main impacts will be wind and rainfall for parts of the southwestern Mexican coast. Winds of tropical storm strength will impact the coast through Saturday and Sunday. Rainfall amounts will range from 3-7 inches with isolated higher amounts to 15 from Chiapas to Nayarit through Monday. This may cause life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides, especially in the mountainous terrain. For more information, check the daily Tropical Weather Outlook, click here

Cloud all around us, and another wave of rain over night, but now no rain over Belize. Not much Caribbean wind activity, but a lot of high level winds, mainly from the NNW, covering Belize with fairly thing high cloud. Looks like most of this morning will be cloudy, some sun appearing over the north later, low chance of rain this morning, could be some this afternoon or evening. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 75°F Yesterday max. 33°C 92°F Yesterday Rain 3.3 mm ( 0.13" )
