A tropical wave is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and the adjacent waters of the northwestern Caribbean Sea. This disturbance is forecast to move west-northwestward and emerge over the Bay of Campeche on Thursday, and then move northward and northeastward into the southwestern and central Gulf of Mexico on Friday and Saturday. Some development will be possible by late Friday and Saturday before the system likely becomes absorbed by a cold front on Sunday.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

Wow, we have had our weather change, well actually not all that strange for October, and Guatamala and south Mexico have had similar during the Jun, Jul Rainy season, just not Belize. This rain is being caused by three things, a wet chunky easterly Caribbean air, high level winds from the NW clashing and causing a number of Swellups over the last 24 hours, and we are apparently, in a low pressure area. There are also similar rain patches coming across the Atlantic.

Looks as if today will remain cloudy for all, most of the day, rain areas will continue for most of the morning.

A stationary band of showers right over our country will dump more rain for the next 5 to 8 hrs especially down south. Watch out for flash flooding. Use your discretion to send children to school. Drive carefully .LGS keeping our parents informed to plan your day better.
