The Caribbean Sea

A tropical wave is moving across the basin. An upper level low is centered over Hispaniola enhancing convection Haiti and the Windward Passage. Another upper level low is centered over the Yucatan Peninsula along with a surface trough along the eastern Yucatan, Belize, and Guatemala coast from 16N89W to 21N87W. A warm bubble of air moved up from the south over night, causing rain in most parts. It is still effecting some central Belize parts and much of the Orange Walk district as it moves northwards. There are more smaller swellups occurring right now, over Dangriga and another to the south of Belize City, which will cause more rain this morning. The easterly Caribbean winds have some small chunky clouds in it, but when this high level from the south has cleared, there may well be a fair bit of sunshine later today.

Looks like some more rain for east and north parts this morning, then later, there could be some sunshine.

On Ambergris Caye this morning the wind is from the East at 10 mph creating a calm sea state around our barrier reef. It's a sunny day with an expected high temperature in the upper 80's.
