General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Partly cloudy. Generally fair conditions over the country the next couple of days. Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Sunny with some cloudy spells today and cloudy at times tonight. Showers will be generally isolated with slightly more over northern and central areas today and over the south tonight.
Winds: East-Northeast | 5-10 kts, Sea State: Slight

Outlook: Similar weather conditions for Wednesday and Wednesday night.

The Caribbean Sea

There are two tropical waves moving across the basin. Relatively dry low to mid level air covers much of the Caribbean. An upper-level low is N of the Virgin Islands near 20N61W. This upper-low and a tropical wave along 68W/69W are enhancing scattered showers and tstorms N of the Leeward Islands. Elsewhere, scattered showers and tstorms are over the Yucatan Channel.

Long-period NE swell continues to subside near Atlantic exposures and passages in the eastern Caribbean and the tropical Atlantic waters east of the basin. Meanwhile, fresh trades will allow for seas to build over the Atlantic waters and over portions of the south central Caribbean as high pressure builds north of the area. These trades and seas will diminish toward the end of the week.

elbert	On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a sunny and warm day with the expected high temperature of 87. The sea state is calm around our barrier reef from an East wind at 9 mph. Today is the first reading from my almost official North Ambergris Rain Gauge. In the past 24 hours it reads 1/2 of an Inch of rain fall. Marty OP	Still a few rain showers around, mainly in central Belize. The Caribbean winds are back, strongly from the east, with some chunky clouds, presently some of them are coming in with some higher cloud, although not much trace of normal high level clouds. Looks as if today will see more sunshine that has been recent and less cloud, but still the chance of some rain showers. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 23°C 74°F Yesterday max. 30°C 86°F Yesterday Rain 3.5 mm ( 0.14" )

Marty OP	Still a few rain showers around, also a line of different air just off the coast, causing more cloud to form.
