General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Mostly sunny, some clouds in the south. Mainly fair weather conditions prevail over our area. Advisories: None.
24-hour forecast: Skies will be mostly sunny with little or no rainfall expected and partly cloudy tonight with the chance of only isolated showers developing.

The Caribbean Sea

Satellite imagery and the GFS model for 250 mb show an anticyclonic circulation center along the central border sections of Honduras and Nicaragua. Broad anticyclonic wind flow spans the Caribbean Sea, from Central America, toward 70W. Weak upper level cyclonic wind flow, with a trough, covers the Caribbean Sea from 70W eastward. Precipitation: isolated moderate from 14N to 18N between 60W and 69W.

Low pressure, moving E from the U.S.A., has weakened the ridge that is to the N of the basin. Large N swell, that is passing through the Atlantic passages into the NE Caribbean Sea, will diminish by Tuesday night. A cold front will enter the NW Caribbean Sea on Monday night, and then weaken and dissipate by Wednesday night.

OP Marty	I thought last night I saw a trace of that cold from over the US, moving down, it is, and it is now causing the Caribbean winds to come from the NNE The cold air has already got down over Belize. Looks like today will be mainly sunny, some cloud will build a bit later, no rain expected. There is a little rain way out at sea. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 21°C 69°F Yesterday max. 30°C 86°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0.0" )

OP Marty	There is a battle between the north cool air and the easterly Caribbean air, causing a little rain out at sea. Clouds building from the north.
