Elsewhere in the NW Caribbean, scattered showers extend to beyond the Cayman Islands, mainly north of 16N between 79W-85W. I think today can best be described as Cloudy. There does not appear to be much Caribbean wind, but the high level winds from the Pacific, have completely covered southern Mexico, the Yucatan and Belize, bringing about 25mm or 1" or rain over night. There is cold air pushing down over the gulf from the north, which might or might not reach us. . . NASA is really screwed up, nothing for today and still no rain radar working, so I am flying blind.

My guess is that much of today will continue to be cloudy, but thinning a bit during the day, but there could still be a little rain around in any part of Belize.

There is clearly widespread cloud, and now the surface winds and low level clouds winds are from the NNW So I do believe it indicates the cool north air is pushing down at present. Those type of clouds over the Gulf are cold weather type of cloud, the thick clouds over us are the Pacific high level clouds from the SW on top of the low cloud.

Looks as if cloud will be with us for the rest of the day and night, with a chance of the occasional scattered showers.
