Belize NMS: Present Condition: Clear Skies along the shoreline, early morning clouds over the mainland, will burn off as the day goes on. Fair, mild and dry weather conditions continue. Advisories: None.

The Caribbean Sea

A weakening cold front extends from 18N63W to 16N74W. Scattered showers are noted along the front. Fair weather prevails elsewhere. Scatterometer data depicts gentle to moderate trades across the basin, while moderate to fresh northerly winds are noted over the Windward Passage.

High pressure building north of the area will support increased winds and seas over much of the south central Caribbean through Sun. The winds will diminish slightly early next week as the high pressure shifts eastward. Meanwhile, northerly swell will move into Atlantic passages and the tropical Atlantic waters off the Leeward and Windward Islands Sat through early next week.

OP Marty	Rather variable weather around us this morning. There is still cold air slowly pushing down, but the cloud over central and south Belize is mid-level cloud from the west and some fog and some low level clouds over the south half of Belize. North Belize is fairly sunny with a thin cloud in parts. Looks as if more mid-level cloud will be moving in from the west, but probably thinning later but being replaced by scattered white clouds. The Caribbean winds have been diverted to the south over eastern Honduras. Looks like today will be a mixture of clouds and sunshine, no rain expected Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 16°C 61°F Yesterday max. 26°C 79°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0" )

OP Marty	White clouds developing, but little or no actual wind in any direction, clouds hardly moving, only a very slight surface wind from the SW.
