Breach of Quarantine Emergency Measures
Despite the various warnings on the importance of strict adherence to the Quarantine Emergency Measures, persons are not adhering to these warnings. If Belize is to remain in front of this COVID 19 pandemic, we must adhere to all measures put in place. In particular individuals and businesses are not adhering to the Social Distance requirement.

BSI contributes to national COVID-19 relief efforts
Belize Sugar Industries Ltd. (BSI), a member of ASR Group, announces a contribution of BZ$250,000 to Belize’s national COVID-19 Relief. Country Manager, Celestino Ruiz, says, “Our donation will support the Government’s crucial work to protect the health and safety of all citizens as we join together to fight COVID-19. Burning of Household and Yard Garbage is Prohibited
The Department of the Environment (DOE) continues to receive reports of the burning of household and yard waste in both urban and rural areas. This prevalent and harmful practice continues to greatly reduce the air quality for residents and threatens life and property from fires, especially around this time of the year, due to the dry season.

The Judiciary of Belize – Response to COVID-19 Preventative Measures
In light of the Belize Press Office, Press Release dated March 26, 2020, the Judiciary is taking measures and implementing strategies to safeguard the health and safety of judicial officers, officers of the court, staff members, and the general public, while at the same time maintaining a functioning judicial system and access to justice.

Water for Boca De lRio Residents Today
On Sunday, March 29th, 11AM, Hope Haven volunteers will be next to Quality Poultry in Boca del Rio supplying water to those in need. Water is being supplied by Kevin and Nova Parel from Casa Nova at Secret Beach. Up to 1 (one) 5-gallon container per family please, and as always, we ask 1 family representative to show up. Everyone is asked to practice social distancing, a safe 3 feet apart minimum.

Fisheries Dept: Precautionary Measures for Preventing and Slowing the Transmission of COVID-19 – Notice to Customers
In conformity with the national effort to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fisheries Department is guided by the Quarantine Order No. 28 of 2020 and guidelines for ‘SAFE WORKING ARRANGEMENTS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE DURING COVID-19’ (Circular Memorandum No. 13 of 2020) and will be taking the following measures effective Monday March 30, 2020: 1. No walk-ins will be allowed, Public visitations will only be allowed by appointment.

Corozal Farmers Market Distancing Measures
In keeping with the preventative measures in regards to social distancing, the Corozal Town Council has devised a plan for the COROZAL FARMER'S MARKET to ensure the safety of everyone on the grounds. For your safety and the safety of others: - Wardens will be one placec at the entrance and exit in order to controll the amount of persons who come in to do their shopping. A maximum of 5 persons at a time will be accepted. - Producers and vendors will be asked to pre-bag produce in order to minimize time that customers take when buying. - Wardens will be there to controll lines to ensure that we keep with the social distancing measures.

His birth was full of tradegy because his parents where murder but also full miracle as he survive various attempts of murder while he was a baby . He assumed lordship over the Toltecs and migrated his people to Tollan. Reigning in peace and prosperity he contributed much to the lifestyle of the Toltecs with basic ideas such as civilization. He was generally considered a god upon earth by his followers with similar powers to those of his namesake. Kukulkan dispelled the traditions of the past and ended all human sacrifice during his reign.

After leaving Tollan Quetzalcoatl, (Kukulkan) traveled in other locations of Meso-America. According to the Books of Chilam Balam the sacred books of the Yucatec Maya, Kukulkan the Native prophet, reached to the Maya lands of Yucatan Peninsula in Katun 4 Ahua. The natives admired his wisdom and called him K'uk'ulkan. The Books of Chilam Balam speak about the prophecies of the return of Kukulkan.

Saldiver detained for Spreading False Rumours
Attorney Arthur Saldivar has been reportedly detained for allegedly spreading false news on the social media site Facebook. Saldivar on his Facebook profile posted that a group of persons from LA were being allowed into the country through the Northern Border. Authorities say this is false news.

2020 Atlantic hurricane season is expected to have 'above-normal' tropical activity, report says
They said that in a normal year, the Atlantic will have about 12 storms, six hurricanes, and roughly three major hurricanes. However, 2020 is expected to have about 14 to 18 tropical storms during the upcoming season. Of those, seven to nine are expected to become hurricanes, while two to four could strengthen into major hurricanes. Hurricane season begins on June 1 and lasts until November 30. The 2019 season had 18 named storms, matching 1969 for the fourth most-lively season in the past 150 years. Hurricane season begins on June 1 and lasts through November 30.

Residents of Xcalak close town after tourist found with fever
Residents of Xcalak near the seaside town of Mahahual have closed public access to the town after one visitor was discovered with a fever. A tourist from Belize was turned away Thursday after testing positive for a fever. Friday, residents of the small town generated a road block to prevent tourists from entering. The group says only residents of the town will be allowed to pass, and only after sanitary measures have been implemented including the use of antibacterial gel and face masks.
