Hundreds of food relief supplies were distributed to needy families all across Ambergris Caye
What started as a conversation with the Harmouch family members, quickly became a humanitarian food relief supply exercise, thanks to the big efforts of the Lebanese community on the island. Thanks to the volunteers that joined in who are friends of the Lebanese - your efforts is greatly appreciated.
I wish to thank The Lebanese community for inviting and allowing Richy Cordova and myself to join and be a part of this project. Richard had his own food-drive project going but his genuine love towards his community is big and in unity there is strength and success.

The project was executed at the end of 2018 and the main goal was to teach the students and some community members how build and maintain an urban garden.

Busses to Stop Running Countrywide Today
The Belize Bus Association suspends bus service countrywide until further notice. The buses will stop their runs effective tomorrow, Sunday, April 5th.
President of BBA Thomas Shaw told News Five that this move has become necessary because bus operators cannot afford to keep their buses on the road. He says that GOB has not yet committed to any relief for the bus lines. He says operators regret the decision but their hands are tied.
Shaw noted that the terminals were not open today for buses to park and he was informed that the transport staff all called in “sick”.
The BBA umbrella includes large operators such as West Line, James, BBOC and others!
BUS RUNS CEASE
All bus operations have been suspended until further notice. Love News has received confirmation that several employees from the Transport Department failed to show up for work out of fear of contracting COVID-19. According to the Minister of Transport, Edmond Castro they are currently in meetings attempting to come to an amicable solution to accommodate all parties involved. So, effective tomorrow, no buses will be running.

It's lo-tech. You can use a T-shirt, hand towel, or bandana. The only other thing you need is rubber bands.
The CDC now recommends wearing cloth face masks in public places where it's difficult to social distance from others — meaning staying at least six feet away.
