General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Clear in the north, cloudy in the south, should burn off early. Warm and dry conditions prevail.
Advisories: *Residents, especially those residing in the interior of the country, are advised to remain hydrated and seek shelter from direct sunlight as much as possible. Also the risk for brush and forest fires remains high.*
24-hour forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. No rainfall is expected.

The Caribbean Sea

A ridge extending from the north central Atlantic into the eastern Caribbean has been displaced southward by a cold front north of the area moving through Florida and the Bahamas. This displacement is increasing the pressure gradient along the coast of Venezuela and northeast Colombia where earlier scatterometer data indicated fresh to strong trade winds, locally near gale force off Colombia. Seas are 5 to 7 ft in this area. Fresh E to SE winds are also pulsing off the coast of Honduras. Gentle to moderate E to SE winds persist elsewhere, with 3 to 5 ft seas. The atmosphere remains fairly dry, and no significant shower or thunderstorm activity is observed.

For the forecast, ridging from the central Atlantic into the northeast Caribbean will maintain small areas of fresh to strong winds off Colombia and in the Gulf of Honduras through late Sun, with gentle to moderate trade winds elsewhere. Winds and seas will build early next week across the basin as high pressure strengthens north of the area.

Marty OP	There is a lot of high level activity from the SW, but presently having little effect on our weather. So we have easterly Caribbean round clouds already coming on land, over central and northern Belize and a lot of heavy fog over many parts. Yesterday was not as hot as earlier days, there appears to be a lot of water vapour in the sky, making the sky almost white, rather than light blue, sometimes described as a heat haze, which might lead to some rain over the next few days, but no sign of that as yet. Looks like today will again be a hot sunny day after the fog and low flying clouds burnt of this morning. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 21°C 69°F Yesterday max. 33°C 91°F Yesterday Rain 0.0 mm ( 0" )

Marty OP	Light cloud movement from the NW, but I think that is reaction between the regular Caribbean easterly and the higher winds from the SW. Looks like another high heat haze sky today, which hopefully will keep temperatures a little down. Present Condition: The fog burnt off, relatively thin cloud in most parts. 24hr Forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. No rainfall is expected.
