General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS: Present Condition: Partly cloudy this morning. Seasonably hot, dry and hazy conditions prevail over the area.
Advisories: *Operators of Small Crafts are advised to exercise caution for gusty winds and rough seas. Heat Advisory: Residents, especially those residing in the interior of the country, are advised to remain hydrated and seek shelter from direct sunlight as much as possible. Also the risk for brush and forest fires remains high.*
24-hour forecast: Mostly sunny and hazy today and clear to partly cloudy tonight. No rainfall is expected.

The Caribbean Sea

A surface ridge extending from the central Atlantic to the northwest Caribbean is supporting pulses of fresh to strong easterly winds off Honduras and Colombia this morning, with 8 to 10 ft seas in these areas. Moderate to fresh winds are noted elsewhere, with generally 5 to 7 ft seas. An analysis from yesterday determined smoke from agricultural fires was limiting visibility from the coast of Honduras to the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. No significant thunderstorm activity is noted over the Caribbean this morning, but fast-moving scattered showers are noted on regional radar in the trade wind flow across the southern Leeward and northern Windward Islands, with isolated showers over the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

For the forecast, winds and seas over much of the basin will diminish from mid through late week as the high pressure north of the area weakens and shifts eastward. Smoke from inland agricultural fires will probably continue to limit visibility at times off the Yucatan Peninsula and offshore of Belize and Honduras.

elbert	On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a sunny day with an expected high temperature of 88f. A strong SE wind blowing at 25 mph is creating rough sea conditions around our barrier reef. Marty OP	egads! a lonely udometer! Rather complex weather at present. The easterly Caribbean winds are very strong over Panama and that general area and developing into real ITCZ storm activity down that way. There was a significant line of cloud all up through the Yucatan over night, only a few traces left. There appears to be a bubble of warmer air coming up from the south, parts of it over southern Mexico, even traces over the Gulf. the high level is swirling over the Yucatan and turning down over the Caribbean sea, presently hardly any air moving over Belize, just the smoke haze or Smog, which has caused a hot night. Looks as if it will be another hot day, no rain expected, but the Smog will continue over us. Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 24°C 76°F Yesterday max. 36°C 97°F Yesterday Rain 0.0 mm ( 0" )

Marty OP	Clouds have been developing much of the afternoon on the west, I was not sure how it would pan out, but as you can see, it has very suddenly and rapidly gone up and up into a huge swell-up and must be causing very significant rain.
