The Caribbean Sea
Fresh to strong tradewinds prevail over the central Caribbean
south of 15N and across the Gulf of Honduras. Gentle to moderate
winds prevail elsewhere in the western Caribbean. Scattered
moderate convection is over the waters of western Panama south of
10N. Isolated showers are embedded within the tradewind flow
across the east and northeast Caribbean. Seas are in the 7-10 ft
range over the south central Caribbean and 4-6 ft elsewhere.
High pressure extending from the central Atlantic to the NW
Bahamas will maintain fresh to strong trade winds over the south-
central Caribbean through early Tue before weakening. Strong east
to southeast winds over the Gulf of Honduras early this morning
will diminish over the next few days. A weak cold front will sink
across W Cuba and the Yucatan Channel today before dissipating
Tue. Northerly swell will continue to subside across the Tropical
N Atlantic waters today. Smoke from agricultural fires in Central
America will produce periods of reduced visibility over the Gulf
of Honduras for the next several days.

Big Beautiful Birdie !!!! Major changes to the weather in our area, the easterly Caribbean winds have taken over, pushed whatever that was over the area, pushed it up into the Gulf and over to the Pacific, together with the Smoke. There are still fires in the Yucatan and Honduras, but all that lingering smoke has been moved away to the west. The very active swellups over south Mexico and Guatamala last even have also helped to get rid of much of the smoke. Unfortunately they did not bring rain to Belize, except west of our mountains.
Looks as if today will still be a hot sunny day, some clouds will build this morning, no rain expected.
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 25°C 76°F Yesterday max. 34°C 94°F Yesterday Rain 0.0 mm ( 0" )

Early, as the ground was heating up, so clouds form in lines as they come ashore. . But now, at the ground is not heating much more, the clouds are starting to thin out. You can see traces of the high level clouds from the west. Most of the smoke has gone, but there is still some smoke in the clouds and air, if you look horizontally, so we are not yet completely clear.. . More smoke is being made in Honduras, presently being carried to the west, and Pacific. ![[Linked Image]](//Ambergriscaye.com/art8/nimbnjanhkkgghlm.jpg)
