Sargassum Forecast:
Latest observations show a few sargassum mats drifting into the area. These are likely to have moderate impacts on local beaches in the next few days.

For Friday and Friday night is for some cloudy spells with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms over most areas.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea or the Gulf of Mexico within the next 48 hours.

The Caribbean Sea
Low pressure 1010 mb centered near 11N79W is inducing scattered
thunderstorms throughout the southwest Caribbean. The earlier
described tropical wave in the central Caribbean is also producing
convection. Otherwise, dry weather prevails.
Low pressure will prevail into the weekend just N of Panama. A
tropical wave S of Hispaniola early this morning will pass S of
Jamaica tonight, then gradually approach Central America by this
weekend. Another stronger tropical wave will enter the basin late
today, pass S of Puerto Rico Fri, then enter the central
Caribbean over the weekend. Moderate trades will start to increase
this weekend.
On Ambergris Caye this morning it's sunny with occasional rain showers. We have a breeze from the East at 11 mph and the expected high temperature for the day is 87 f. It's good to see the Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve is open again and rangers going back to work. A good day for a snorkel trip.
The easterly Caribbean winds are sort of normal, but there is high level clouds coming down from the NE which could possibly cause a little rain.
Looks as if today will be mainly sunny, but with significant clouds. There could be swellups this afternoon or evening.
