I could have asked this at the end of the airport opening thread but thought it worth it's own thread. One of the questions was whether people would be allowed to shop. The answer was that they would be allowed to shop in their hotel gift shop and that the hotel would be encouraged to allow locals to bring in items for sale. So is it going to be against the law for someone to walk down the street and buy something?
Likewise, I understand the requirement that Gold Star hotels have restaurants, but are guests going to be required to eat each and every meal on site? This isn't stated. Part of the joy of San Pedro for me is the various open-air dining opportunities. I haven't been to a restaurant in the United States for months because I think being in an indoor area is dangerous, but an open air area with ocean breezes seems pretty safe to me.
I'm just curious. I've given some thought to coming down and staying for perhaps several months. I think things are going to get pretty awful in the U.S. But I don't want to be confined to a single hotel!
