Hello I am leaving Sunday to spend a week at Ramons Village. Obviously it is my first time to AC. I have read some of your post ...everyone has great suggestions!! Especially about the food!! But I am specifically wondering about the tours available. I was considering the Mayan ruins. Has anyone been? Does anyone suggest any other tours? I am not a diver and hopefully will spend the week relaxing, eating, drinking and sleeping but wouldn't mind a tour or two. Or any other suggestions! Thanks !

I suggest Searious Tours - up the beach just a bit from Ramon's - across from Rubie's. They were great! The tours are a bit better priced than Ramon's, and they bring along drinks and fresh fruit. Altun Ha is like a ruins "light" tour. It is not too taxing, and you get to stop at Maruba Spa (have a massage - great fun). Our favorite tour was The Manatee Tour through Searious. You get to snorkel, see Manatees and have lunch on a little island. Willy is a good cook and guide! Have fun!

SEAduced by Belize is excellent. Just did their cave tubing in May - what a kick. They also have Altun Ha or Lamanai ruins trip and the Manatee snorkel trip is fantastic. Just look for the purple fence!

Don't know how long you'll be there but how bout a daysail/snorkel trip to Caye Caulker - it'll be lobster feast celebration starting the 3rd or 4th I think. It sounds like fun! Check out the ElGato for sailing (at the pier in front of the cemetary)...
Have a blast!!

I agree with missgompers about SEArious Adventures. Willie is excellent, as is Ricky, their other guide. They'll make sure you have a great time!
