The newly built Ronald Greenwood House at the corner of Regents Street and Cockburn Lane. Made possible by the Downtown Rejuvenation Project under the auspices of Taiwan ICDF and Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation. This house was a replacement to a unrestorable dilapidated house that was at this site. The new building was built in the fashion of the original building.

A few weeks ago, I posted a story about a visit I made to the abandoned Greenwood House on corner of Cockburn Lane and Regents Streets in 2018 I believe. I mentioned in the post that while in there I had discovered some of Mr. Greenwood's drawings. One of the drawings was in remarkable good condition and was a drawing that struck me like the inner workings of a UFO or something of that sort; however, it turned out to be a drawing of a Tropical Reef Electrical Energy Generating Unit he had designed many years ago. As I had mentioned in the post, the newly reconstructed property would become a restaurant / museum. One way we were planning on telling the story about Mr. Greenwood was to place a short biography about his life on dinner mats that would be used in the restaurant. The completed mats were delivered yesterday and I thought I would share a photo of it with you because the mat displays two of Mr. Greenwood's drawings: one of the drawing with the TREEGFU which I mentioned above (first photo) and another of a drawing of the house he made when we was conducting some renovations on the house probably in the 70's (same photo). Incidentally, this property and the newly built Belize Heritage Plaza will be put out to tender this week in the local newspapers.
