COVID-19 UpdateThis is our data for today. A total of 317 tests were conducted today. A total of 34 new cases of SARS-CoV2 were identified with breakdown as follows. Corozal District: 3 (2 Patchakan, 1 Concepcion) Orange Walk District: 1 in OW town Belize District: 11 (5 San Pedro, 1 Caye Caulker, 3 City, 1 from Xaibe CZ, 1 hospitalized at KHMH from San Ignacio) Cayo District: 19 (5 Belmopan, 4 San Ignacio, 1 Santa Elena, 7 Benque Viejo, 1 San Jose Succotz, 1 Camalote) We have 34 recovered cases. We have one more death to report, this is in a male from San Ignacio who had been intubated at KHMH and died earlier today.

COVID-19 Update from Office of Director of Health ServicesThis is our data for today. A total of 169 tests were processed with 21 new cases identified. The geographic breakdown is as follows: - Belize District - 14 (13 in Caye Caulker, 1 in Belize City) - Cayo District - 7 (5 San Ignacio, 2 Belmopan) We have a total of 48 recovered cases to report today, meaning that 62.8% of our cases remain active. San Pedro Town registers high number of recoveries; Caye Caulker cases increase As of Tuesday, September 15th, health authorities on Ambergris Caye reported that 168 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered, with 116 cases still active in San Pedro Town. Meanwhile, Caye Caulker is seeing a slight increase, with 48 testing positive, 42 cases active, and six recoveries. In San Pedro the Mar de Tumbo flu clinic continues to tend to anyone with flu-like symptoms, swabbing people daily. The clinic opens 8AM to 5PM, and appointments are no longer needed like before. Islanders are encouraged to continue practicing proper hygienic measures, social distancing, and to stay away from mass gatherings. The breakdown is as follows: Corozal District - 13 (7 Patchakan, 3 Concepcion, 1 Xaibe, 1 Santa Clara, 1 Progreso) Orange Walk District - 10 (3 Orange Walk Town, 3 August Pine Ridge, 1 Carmelita, 1 San Luis, 1 San Pablo, 1 San Jose) Belize District - 4 (all in Belize City) Today, a total of 123 have recovered. With this new set of data, our active cases are down to 55.4% of the total identified positive cases. COVID-19 Update from Office of Director of Health Services40 Active COVID-19 cases on Ambergris Caye. Out of 283 Total Positive Cases. This is our data for today. A total of 133 samples were processed today. Eight (8) new cases were identified as follows: Corozal District - 1in Concepcion Cayo District - 1 in San Ignacio Stann Creek - 1 in San Roman Belize District - 2 in San Pedro, 2 in Caye Caulker and 1 in the city. We had 33 recovered cases for a total of 53.5% active cases. We require an ongoing community effort in order to flatten this curve.

They are distributed geographically as follows: Cayo District - 6 (1 in Belmopan, 5 in San Ignacio) Belize District - 7 (1 Ladyville, 1 Double Head Cabbage, 1 Progresso, 3 San Pedro, 1 Belize City) Orange Walk District - 18 (5 in OW Town, 1 San Jose Palmar, 3 Guinea Grass, 2 San Jose, 2 San Pablo, 2 August Pine Ridge, 1 Carmelita, 1 Yo Creek, 1 from Corozal Town but detected in OW) We have a total of 46 recoveries. The breakdown is as follows: Corozal Dsitrict - 11 (5 Corozal Town, 2 Santa Clara, 1 Xaibe, 1 Buena Vista, 1 swabbed in Corozal but from OW town and another from San Pedro) Belize District - 2 from the city Orange Walk District - 10 (5 from OW Town, 3 August Pine Ridge, 1 San Felipe, 1 San Jose Palmar). We have one death to report, this is in a female from Belize City in her late 50s, the diagnosis was made post mortem and this person died outside of the hospital setting. We have 70 recovered cases. Our active cases now represent 47.7% of the total. As we move into Independence Day weekend, please continue to remain safe and our runs in public should be for essential activities only.

A total of 21 new cases were identified with breakdown as follows: Orange Walk District - 10 (5 in OW town, 2 Guinea Grass, 1 San Jose, 1 August Pine Ridge, 1 from Toledo but swabbed/isolated in OW) Belize District - 4 (1 in Ladyville, 3 San Pedro) Cayo District - 5 (3 San Ignacio, 1 Bullet Tree Falls, 1 Santa Familia) Toledo District - 2 (1 Laguna, 1 Big Falls) There were 42 recovered cases. Unfortunately we have another death to report, this is an elderly female from Orange Walk District who had been symptomatic but had not been diagnosed, this person died at home and the diagnosis was made post-mortem. Our active cases are now down to 42.3% of the total cases. Our case fatality rate in Belize is currently 1.29%. As we go into Independence Day and some level of celebrations, we encourage all to please be responsible in doing so as we do have a curve to flatten.

They are distributed as follows: Corozal District - 3 (1 Corozal Town, 1 Louisville, 1 Santa Clara) Belize District - 4 (2 Ladyville, 1 City, 1 San Pedro) Cayo District - 1 (from Belize City but swabbed in Cayo) Two patients remained ventilated at KHMH's ICU. We have 49 recovered cases today, our active cases now stand at 39.6% of the total number of identified cases. Please continue to exercise all necessary preventive measures as we move on.

The distribution is as follows: Corozal District - 9 (7 in town, 1 Consejo, 1 San Andres) Orange Walk District - 15 (3 in town, 3 Trinidad, 1 San Pablo, 1 San Jose, 1 Nuevo San Juan, 1 Chan Pine Ridge, 1 Guinea Grass, 1 San Luis, 1 San Lazaro, 1 from San Roman in Corozal, but identified in OW and 2 from Hiccattee Creek, Toledo but identified in OW) Belize District - 7 (2 in Belize City, 3 San Pedro, 1 Caye Caulker, 1 from Unitedville identified at KHMH) Cayo District - 1 (San Jose Succotz) Stann Creek - 1 (Independence) Toledo - 1 (from Cayo) We have one more death to report (not reflected in infographic as this is just being confrimed) - this is in a male in his 30s from the Cayo District who had been at the ICU of KHMH for over two weeks now We have 37 recoveries to report Our active cases stand T 38.5% of the total identified positive cases. Please continue to remain safe. Kindly note that for those persons leaving Belize, there is no requirement in terms of PCR or any other test for SARS-CoV2. Also note that for those who are leaving for essential reasons (i.e. students or medical reasons) and who are required to present a PCR test to the country they are traveling to, they must submit a request to Mrs. Quewell at [email protected] We only run such a PCR test once approved and this is done only once a week so please factor that into your request or travel. We are currently not able to offer routine PCR testing for those leaving for non-essential reasons.
