The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Epsilon, located over the central Atlantic a few hundred miles east-southeast of Bermuda.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Hurricane Epsilon is centered about 545 miles east-southeast of Bermuda and is moving to the northwest at about 13 mph. Sustained winds are near 75 mph.

An elongated trough of low pressure stretching from the northwestern Caribbean to the northeastern part of the Yucatan Peninsula is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone. While waters are very warm across the western Caribbean, wind shear has increased, especially over the northwestern portion of the Caribbean. The scattered clusters of showers and thunderstorms are all located to the east of the trough axis. Local downpours and isolated flash flooding can occur from east to west through Friday across portions of Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico as the feature moves to the west.

The whole Yucatan is in a large rotating mass of low level air, I think they have started to call them gyra's or something. What this means to us is that our winds are from the WNW today. There is a fair amount of cloud with this in the Yucatan, but only a little in western parts of Belize. Only a little bit of high level and a little clashing way out at sea.

Looks as if today will be largely sunny, with clouds building during the day, only a small chance or some rain later this afternoon.

Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler )
