General Situation:
Ambergris Caye: Conditions this morning by Elbert just before or after this post!
Belize NMS:
Present Condition: Clear in the north, cloudier in the south in the interior. Mainly fair and dry conditions continue.
Advisories: *A Flood Warning is in effect for communities in the Belize district.*
24-hour forecast:
Mostly sunny skies today and clear to partly cloudy tonight with little or no rainfall expected.
Winds: Light and Variable Sea State: Slight
Waves: 1-3 ft
Sea Surface Temperature (°f): 83
Outlook:
Mainly fair and dry conditions for Thursday with isolated showers developing Thursday night.
Sargassum Forecast from November 10, 2020 to November 18, 2020:
No significant impact from sargassum is expected during the next few days. San Pedro has a low probability and a minimal expected impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
At 6:00am Tropical Storm Eta was located near latitude 25.8N, longitude 83.8W, or about 130 miles WSW of Ft. Myers, Florida. Eta was moving to the NNE at 15mph with maximum sustained winds of 70mph. It is important to note that, while weather conditions have improved over Belize, flooding will continue in some communities especially in the Belize district due to downstream river levels rising. A tropical wave located over the eastern Caribbean Sea is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This wave is expected to move slowly westward into more favourable environmental conditions. There is a high chance that a tropical depression could form late this week or this weekend when the wave reaches the central or western Caribbean Sea. At 3:00am Tropical Storm Theta was centered near latitude 29.4N, longitude 34.7W, or about 740 miles SW of the Azores.

Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
Tropical Storm Eta is over the SE Gulf of Mexico near 25.0N 84.1W.
Winds and seas associated with Eta continue to impact the far NW
Caribbean, including the Yucatan Channel. Over this area, fresh to
strong winds and seas to 9 ft prevail. Eta will continue to
move farther north over the Gulf of Mexico today, with conditions
over the NW Caribbean improving today. Elsewhere, moderate to
fresh winds prevail across the eastern Caribbean, with gentle to
moderate winds over the central Caribbean and remainder of the
western Caribbean.
Active convection is covering much of the eastern Caribbean in
association to a tropical wave. This tropical wave has a chance of
contributing to tropical cyclogenesis over the central or eastern
Caribbean later this week or weekend. Please see the latest
Atlantic Tropical Weather Outlook for more information.

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Eta, located over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, and on Tropical Storm Theta, located over the eastern Atlantic. A tropical wave (Invest 98L) located over the eastern Caribbean Sea is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. The wave is expected to move slowly westward into more conducive environmental conditions over the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form late this week or this weekend when the wave reaches the central or western Caribbean Sea. Regardless of development, this system is expected to bring heavy rainfall along with possible flash flooding to the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and portions of Hispaniola over the next couple of days. For more detailed information, refer to products issued by your local weather office. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent. The above area of concern is with a tropical wave in the central Caribbean. Shear is forecast to be rather low over the next several days, and an area of low pressure may take shape early in the week. Should this take place, the combination of warm seas and low wind shear would support tropical development. This bears watching as there is a low to moderate chance of development over the next several days, and this may become a threat to Central America, Jamaica and/or Cuba. ![[Linked Image]](//Ambergriscaye.com/art8/sdfsdfsd999996j.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](//Ambergriscaye.com/art8/hurricaneoutlook201111.jpg) For more on Invest 98L, click here For further information on tropical conditions, check the daily Tropical Weather Outlook, click here

The Hurricane Eta has rapidly moved northwards and intensified over night, way up and off the west coast of Florida. This is perhaps. contributing to both the cool air being drawn don from the north over Belize and clear skies. Looks as if today will be largely sunny, a few small clouds developing later, but no rain expected. ![[Linked Image]](//Ambergriscaye.com/art8/pflnbmkgekmlfgha.jpg) Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 23°C 74°F Yesterday 31°C 87°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0")
