Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
A cold front extends from western Cuba near 22N80W to Guatemala
near 16N89W. Scattered moderate convection is located along and
within 90 nm N and W of the boundary. Farther S, to the north of
the eastward extension of the eastern Pacific monsoon trough,
numerous strong thunderstorms exist from 09N to 15N between 75W
and 84W, offshore the coasts of Colombia, Panama, and Costa Rica.
Elsewhere across the basin, generally moderate to fresh trades
prevail, and scattered moderate convection has developed just S of
Hispaniola.
Moderate to fresh trades will continue across most of the basin
through the week. A cold front over the NW Caribbean this morning
will reach eastern Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras tonight, then
stall and gradually dissipate. Fresh to strong winds and building
seas can be expected in the wake of this front through Wed night.
Looking ahead, another front may enter the Yucatan Channel by late
Sat.
There are no organized features in the Atlantic basin at this time.
A gale-force, non-tropical low pressure system centered a couple of hundred miles north-northwest of the Madeira Islands continues to produce a broad area of showers and thunderstorms well to the east of the center. This low has changed little in organization over the last 24 hours, and environmental conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for it to acquire subtropical characteristics over the next day or so as it drifts southwestward. Afterwards, conditions are forecast to become unfavorable for further development. Regardless of subtropical development, this system will continue to produce strong winds and locally heavy rains in the Madeira Islands through Tuesday. Additional information on this system can be found in High Seas Forecasts issued by Meteo France.
This is the last regularly scheduled Tropical Weather Outlook of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season. However, a Special Tropical Weather Outlook will be issued to discuss the low over the eastern Atlantic by 1000 AM EST Tuesday, or earlier, if necessary. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

On Ambergris Caye this morning we have a strong North wind and heavy overcast sky. The expected high temperature for the day is a cool 77 f. Belizean sweater weather.
The second wave of cool air has come down over Belize over night and again mixing or clashing with high level winds from the SW. Caused some rain and areas of high wind, last night. I also spotted a very large, very significant ITCZ swell up off shore, down near Panama. This morning it has all the hallmarks of a tropical storm down there, including the high level flair out. It should not effect us, but it is effecting a very large area in the southern Caribbean, and this morning its centre has been moving rapidly northwards.
Most of Belize is under heavy cloud, caused by the cool air from the north and high level from the SW and causing a surface wind from the SW. There could be patches of rain.

24hr Forecast: Skies will continue to be variably cloudy along with periods of light rain mainly offshore and over some southern and coastal areas.
