In one off her first public policy actions with COVID 19, Dr. Melissa Diaz has sent out two memo's making stipulations about the new protocols for testing - and not testing - COVID patients.

Importantly, she makes it official that if you tested positive for COVID 19 - you do not need another test after 14 days before returning to your regular work and social life.

Her memo says that after 14 days, persons may still test positive, but are no longer infectious. The Minister of Health explained today:

Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"So there is a change in protocol and that is coming from the international health organization. Individuals who have been afflicted by Covid and who have had 14 days without symptoms are now being declared clinically recovered through the ministry and its hospitals."

Reporter
