Triple R Evac delivers medical supplies to Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, and Belize City
For the second time, much-needed medical supplies worth $2 million were handed over to San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, and Caye Caulker on Thursday, December 17, by the Rickilee Response and Rescue (RRR) Air Evac Emergency Response Team. The medical supplies were unloaded at the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, and an amount was transported to Caye Caulker. The donation was made possible by Project CURE and Young Professionals out of the United States of America, who have been working with Triple R.
A portion of the supplies went to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) and the Belize Emergency Response Team in Belize City. As COVID-19 cases continue to increase across the country, the sick is referred to KHMH, where they are experiencing a bed shortage. As part of this important donation, approximately 36 beds and surgical equipment were handed over to the hospital, which is housing most of the COVID-19 related patients.[url=https://www.sanpedrosun.com/health/2020/12/19/triple-r-evac-delivers-medical-supplies-to-ambergris-caye-caye-caulker-and-belize-city/[/url] to read the rest of the article in the San Pedro Sun
