Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
A weakening cold front extends across the NW Caribbean from 22N80W
to 19N87W. No significant convection is related to the front at
this time. Scatterometer data depicts moderate trades across most
of the basin, and fresh winds prevailing over the south-central
Caribbean.
The front will dissipate today with easterly trades
returning across the NW Caribbean. Highest winds and seas will
continue to be in the southern Caribbean, near the coast of
Colombia, pulsing at nighttime through the forecast period. The
next cold front will slide southward into the NW Caribbean by
the end of the week enhancing winds and seas.
The Caribbean winds are coming down from the NE and nearly east over Belize. There is a large blanket of Fog or low cloud over central and northern Belize, but there has been a line of rain over central Belize and some patches in southern coastal areas.
Looks as if there could be a fair bit of sunshine after the fog has lifted, a chance of the odd rain showers in any place.
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last night min. 22°C 71°F Yesterday 28°C 82°F Yesterday Rain 2 mm ( 0.1")
Present Condition: Mostly clear. Relatively moist conditions linger over the area.
24hr Forecast: Sunny with cloudy spells this afternoon and tomorrow morning and cloudy at times tonight. A few showers will affect central and southern areas.
Outlook: Between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday midday is for only isolated showers to develop around the country.
