Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
Broad upper level anticyclonic wind flow is pushing high level
moisture across the Caribbean Sea. Water vapor satellite imagery
shows that a ridge extends from northern coastal sections of
Venezuela, to northern sections of Nicaragua.
A cold front passes through central Cuba to the coast of
Honduras near 16N87W. Scattered showers are within 60 nm to 120
nm on either side of the cold front.
The monsoon trough extends from northern Colombia near 11N73W,
across southern sections of Panama, and into the eastern Pacific
Ocean. Scattered moderate showers are from 13N southward and 70W
westward.
Broken low and mid-level clouds and embedded showers span the
rest of the Caribbean Sea, moving with the low level wind flow.
The cold front will stall across the NW Caribbean today and
dissipate through Sunday. Fresh trade winds will prevail across
the basin this weekend, with nightly pulses of strong winds
expected off the Colombia coast. Strong trade winds are expected
in the central and eastern Caribbean Monday and Tuesday, with
near gale-force winds north of Colombia Monday night through
Tuesday night.
The cold air is pushing hard down from the north over the whole Yucatan, and the high level SW winds over most of the area, but only with a little cloud in the north, but more cloud further south. There is movement of, presumably warmer air, pushing up from the south, causing cloud over southern and central Belize. The cold air, the Caribbean air and this warmer air from the south, all mixing over the Honduras coast and clashing with high level from the SW and probably causing some significant rain down there, which may later move up into southern Belize.
Looks as if different parts of Belize very different weather, clear sun in the north, light cloud in the south and heavy cloud across central Belize.
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 20°C 68°F Yesterday 25°C 77°F Yesterday Rain 0 mm ( 0")

Cloud is thinning to give a fair amount of sunshine. Thin mid-level cloud moving up from the south, now over most of the country, but the surface wind is still from the north.
Present Condition: Partly cloudy, less so in the north. Mild and cool conditions prevail.
24hr Forecast: Variably cloudy with little or no rainfall expected this afternoon through tomorrow morning.
Outlook: A few cloudy spells with showers or thunderstorms being isolated at first and then increasing late Sunday night into Monday morning, mainly along the coast.
