Marine Conditions:
The Caribbean Sea
A Gale Warning is in effect near the coast of Colombia. The most recent satellite-derived wind data provided observations
of strong winds over the south-central Caribbean. Fresh winds
prevail across the remainder of the Caribbean Sea. Near gale to
minimal gale force winds are expected early this morning near
the coast of Colombia. Scattered moderate showers are noted
across much of the western Caribbean, south of 20N and west of
75W.
Fresh to strong trades over much of the central Caribbean will
continue through late Wed night, then diminish to mainly fresh
speeds through Fri. Northeast to east trades will reach gale
force along and near the coast of Colombia again Mon night into
early Tue. A weakening cold front is expected to move into the NW
Caribbean Wed, then become stationary from west-central Cuba to
the NW Caribbean and dissipate by early Thu as high pressure
builds from the Gulf of Mexico southeastward across the NW
Caribbean.
We have conditions a bit similar to last week, where the easterly Caribbean clouds clashing with the cool air and high level clouds, but in this case, all that rain is way out to sea, but we do have a lot of cloud continually coming over Belize, so far, only causing small amounts of light rain.
Looks as if most of Belize will continue to be cloudy, some heavy cloud, some thin and changing during the day, and a significant chance of some rain in any parts, presently San Pedro and possibly Stann Creek coastal areas.
Temperatures in Belmopan : ( Coast usually cooler, hills even cooler ) Last Night 22°C 71°F Yesterday 25°C 76°F Yesterday Rain 3.0 mm ( 0.1")
Present Condition: Partly cloudy. Relatively moist conditions linger over the area.
24hr Forecast: Generally cloudy with a few showers, isolated thunderstorms and periods of rain around the country this afternoon, increasing tonight and tomorrow morning.
Outlook: Between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon is for showers and periods of rain to continue affecting the country.

What started out as a dark cloudy day really blossomed! Taken about 25 minutes ago just after both my dogs ran off to chase wish willies. Photo by San Pedro Scoop
Probably rain all over the place this afternoon. Much of the Yucatan and further north and the Caribbean way to the east. So far Belize got away with little or no rain, but tomorrow ?
