This award is presented annually in honor of one of Belize Audubon Society’s founding members, Mr. James A. Waight, to individuals or organizations in recognition of significant contribution, nationally or locally, to the conservation and enhancement of Belize’s environment.

If you know someone working or volunteering in conservation, who is Belizean or a Belizean resident, you can nominate them today!

The deadline for nominations is midnight on 31st January and should be made in writing via email or postal mail, accompanied by supporting images and/or videos where possible.

Last year we were delighted to present the award to Ms. Ella Baron, for her tireless work to protect Belize's flora and fauna - but who deserves to be awarded this prestigious accolade this year?!
