Outlook:
For Thursday and Thursday night is for a few showers, periods of rain and possible isolated thunderstorms over most areas, with activity becoming isolated during the night.
Sargassum Forecast from January 26, 2021 to February 3:
Latest satellite imagery suggests that sargassum has increased over the area and there is a medium chance of sargassum landing on local beaches with moderate impacts during the coming days. San Pedro has a medium probability and a moderate expected impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
There are no organized tropical features across the Atlantic basin at this time. Updates will resume at the beginning of the 2021 hurricane season (June 1).

The Caribbean Sea
A strong cold front will enter the NW Caribbean on Thu. Behind
the front, fresh to strong NE winds can be expected over the NW
Caribbean waters Fri and through the Atlantic passages Fri
afternoon through Sat. N swell will propagate into the NE
Caribbean passages and Tropical N Atlantic waters through the
weekend, with the largest swell expected Sun and Sun night.
There is a Gale
Warning in effect for near the NW coast of Colombia in the south-
central Caribbean Sea. A weakening stationary front extends from the Tropical N Atlantic
to south of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, terminating just
south of the Mona Passage. Isolated to scattered showers are noted
on either side of this boundary, continuing westward on the
trades. Fresh to strong E-SE winds are noted in the NW Caribbean
west of 85W including the Gulf of Honduras along with 5-7 ft
seas. Fresh to strong trades are noted in the central Caribbean
around the area of gale force winds along with 7-11 ft seas, with
moderate to fresh trades and 5-8 ft seas in the eastern Caribbean.
On Ambergris Caye this morning wind from the East is howling at 23 mph with gusts to 30, creating rough sea conditions around our barrier reef. Today is sunny with an expected high temperature of 88 f.
There are patches of heavy cloud out at sea in the SE Caribbean winds, but not near Belize. The wind of Belize is very light at present, but will build up over the morning. Presently a lot of clear sky sunshine, a little cloud over the edges of the mountains and fog in western parts, but that is clearing. No high level clouds.
Looks as if today will be mainly sunny, white clouds developing during the morning, no rain expected.

24hr Forecast: Partly cloudy skies this afternoon and cloudy spells tonight and tomorrow morning. Little or no rainfall will develop this afternoon and then showers will become isolated tonight and further increase tomorrow morning, along with periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms.
Outlook: Between Thursday afternoon and Friday midday is for a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms to continue around the country.
