The Ministry and BTB were out on the island of Ambergris Caye on Thursday and Friday of this week as a part of their plan for countrywide destination visits. Hon. Anthony Mahler met Hon. Andre Perez in San Pedro. Other delegates included CEO Solano and BTB Chairman Tillett and their teams.

The San Pedro visit included a tour of properties and developments, as well as meetings with various stakeholders.

The purpose of the visits is to listen to the concerns in each destination, with a view to addressing priority areas as the country slowly advances toward recovery in another difficult year for tourism.

The Ministry and BTB concluded its San Pedro visit yesterday with stops at properties along the northern coast of Ambergris Caye, as well as Secret Beach on the west side of the island. Important discussions with various business owners and managers provided invaluable feedback.

We sincerely thank all the businesses who took the time to meet us, as we work together to address priority areas of concern for the island. While it was impossible to visit with all tourism businesses in two days, we are committed to remaining accessible to the industry, as we move forward together.
