Sargassum Forecast from February 9 to February 17:
Sargassum impacts are expected to remain moderate during the coming days with the chance of a few mats drifting onto local beaches. San Pedro has a medium probability and a moderate expected impact.
Tropical Weather Outlook:
There are no organized tropical features across the Atlantic basin at this time. Updates will resume at the beginning of the 2021 hurricane season (June 1).

The Caribbean Sea
There are ongoing
gales off the coast of Colombia. Relatively dry air is in place over most of the Caribbean, but a
cluster of thunderstorms is ongoing within 90 nm offshore of
Hispaniola. Fresh trades continue, except for strong over portions
of the central Caribbean. Seas average 5 to 7 ft.
High pressure north of the Caribbean Sea will maintain fresh to
strong trade winds over the central and portions of the SW
Caribbean through Mon night. Gale force winds will pulse off the
coast of Colombia early this morning and again tonight, with near
gale conditions prevailing through the weekend. Fresh to strong
winds are also expected in the Gulf of Honduras and Windward
Passage through Fri. Otherwise, NE swell will affect the tropical
N Atlantic waters tonight through early next week with building
seas to 9 ft.
On Ambergris Caye this morning it's cloudy and damp from a predawn rainshower. The wind is from the East at 18 mph. Today's expected high temperature is 88 f.
Very strong ESE Caribbean winds over the whole area. There has been some clashing with WSW high level cloud mainly over the sea, resulting in a lot of Caribbean cloud and a little early morning rain.
Looks as if today will be a mixture of sunshine and cloud, and a small chance of a little rain.
