I have devoted myself to eating (ok...that might be an exaggeration) for the last 14 years on the island. But Wednesday, I was invited to head to the DFC neighborhood, to try a bunch of different spots. And I found a dish I'd never heard of...a hugely popular Honduranian dish called tajada.
I have lots more to tell you about DFC eats but take a look at this cute spot - Los Cocos and tajada, run by Yovanny. Fried green bananas (shaved thin of this beautiful wooden and razor sharp slicer)...piled with cabbage and tomato sauce and a homemade cream sauce/Ranch dressing and FRIED CHICKEN and pickled onions and...
Holy moly. Food for 2 VERY hungry folks. $11bzd. (i messed up on the price!)
Wow.
it's on what I consider the MAIN road of DFC - near Crazy House...you'd have to ask when you get back there. That's kinda how we found everything!
