Spotify Expanding to 80 New Markets, including the Caribbean

Spotify announced today that they would be expanding to 80 new markets in the near future, during their Stream On event. They will also offer the app in 36 new languages.

The list of Caribbean countries includes: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname & Trinidad and Tobago.

The new Spotify countries will have the ability to sign up for free and paid Premium plans; in select markets, Spotify will offer Individual, Family, Duo and Student Plan options too. It will be available on mobile and with its desktop web player, with some exceptions.


Spotify is a digital music, podcast, and video streaming service that gives you access to millions of songs and other content from artists all over the world. Basic functions such as playing music are totally free.
