Belize NMS: Present Condition: Mostly clear this morning, a few clouds in the south. A few clouds in San Pedro. Mainly fair and warm conditions to prevail for the next few days.
Advisories: *A small craft caution will likely go into effect for tonight as winds become gusty and seas may be rough at times.*
24-hour forecast: Skies will become mostly sunny today and clear to partly cloudy tonight with little or no rainfall expected.
Winds: E-SE, 10-20 kts, Gusty
Sea State: Choppy BECOMING Moderate-Rough.
Waves: 3-5 ft BECOMING 5-7 ft.

Outlook: Similar conditions to continue on Wednesday and Wednesday night.
Sargassum Forecast from March 16 to March 24: The area remains free from significant amounts of Sargassum and no major change is expected during the next few days. San Pedro has a low probability and a minimal impact.

The Caribbean Sea

A weak surface ridge prevails north of the area. The resultant weak gradient is supporting moderate to fresh winds over the south central Caribbean, with gentle to moderate winds elsewhere. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range over much of the Caribbean waters east of 80W. Seas are in the 1-3 ft range over much of the NW Caribbean, except reaching 4 ft over the Gulf of Honduras.

High pressure will build over the western Atlantic through late this week. Fresh to strong winds will persist over the south- central Caribbean, with gale-force winds possibly pulsing each night near the coast of Colombia Thu night into this weekend. Expect increasing winds and building seas over the NW Caribbean, including the Gulf of Honduras, from Wed through Fri.
