This hermit crab eats rapidly in the ocean, doing a very important job in the process. He and his friends are actually keeping the beaches clean and ridding the bottom of the ocean of rotting debris and vegetative matter. He's even eating decaying carcasses and rotting flesh from dead animals, picking up the tiny pieces that have been missed by predators as they chew and eat their meals
