I found out that Maya Air does have flights from there, but I was wondering if anyone knew if they also had some sort of a water taxi/ferry service? If so, how long does it take?

Thanks,

Nate

Thunderbolt offers water taxi to Ambergris it leaves I think at 3pm and takes about 1 hour and a half and costs $20.00 U.S one way.

And I believe the Lady Lowe ferry also still makes the run four or five times a week, leaving early in the morning from the Tony's Inn pier.

Tropic Air also flies from Corozal. I've taken the water taxi from Corozal also, the Thunderbolt. Its a fully covered boat with airline style seating, not benches and they have a nice sound system.

Lady Lowe has been sold by it's owner and is now a dive boat in Ambergris. They still own 2 other boats will run charter trips only.
Thunderbolt is now the only water taxi running from Corozal Town to San Pedro. They leave at 3:30 pm and the price is $20.US per person. The boat leaves from the renovated wharf near the Corozal Market and Cultural Center (museum). It is a very comfortable boat with bus style seating. Give them a try, they are good.

We are no longer running regular trips from Corozal to AC and back as it was not working out for us. We still run charter trips to AC.
We have read many times on the forum that our boat used to leave from the Tony's Inn dock and would like to clarify this. Our boat used to leave from the Corozal Bay Inn dock ONLY. (Both docks are built side by side) The reason...Tony's Inn wanted to charge us a high docking fee and a commision on all our trips or ticket sales. Corozal Bay Inn on the other hand, in an effort to try to increase tourism to the Corozal area and to help us get on our feet let us use their dock and parking lot free of charge. They also sold tickets for us free of commissions and included us in their web site, also free of any charges. We are forever grateful to Doug and Maria the owners of Corozal Bay Inn for their generosity and help. To date we still have 1 of our boats docked there. The owners of Tony's on the other hand were rude to any of our passengers who happened to venture on to their property before boarding our boat.
The late Jose "Chepos" Majil who was murdered on AC a few months ago also moved his 3 tour boats from Tony's to the Corozal Bay Inn dock as have many others. Hokol Kin Guest House of also docks their boat at the Corozal Bay Inn dock.
So Lan please get the facts straight and give credit where credit is due.

OK, I guess you and Tony know which dock is which, but the average person walking out on the dock just sees one pier and wouldn't know that Corozal Bay Inn and Tony's say there are two!

I only saw one dock !

Must be the north 'side' belongs to Tony's and south 'side' belongs to Corozol Bay Inn.
